Can we please get some valid information about Iconpackackager for Windows 10.
-Will there be an update ?
(If this has been answered somewhere else I haven't seen it)
And just think, what's left of the skinning community is fast approaching its use by date, with the retirement of more and more apps likely as sales continue to diminish and development becomes no longer viable. As it is we've aleady lost DesktopX , and as more apps cease to exist/be supported, there'll be more and more skinners who'll cease to bother. Sadly, that's the truth of it. Skinning has been in decline for 5 or more years now, and there's no sign of it abating. Sure there's a handful of hardcore skinners remaining, but for how much longer?
Why can't Stardock just come out and say what software is no longer supported. It would sure stop all this guessing and hoping and un-necessary posts. "... Tell thee truth! ..."
Well, there are skinners that are creating visual style skins for 7,8 and 10 by way of a UXThemePatcher. Yea I know it's bad, but on the other hand I haven't heard of anybody having problems with it. Then there are those who create icon packs installed with .exe file (as JuniorCrooks described above) or changing out .dll files. As for me sticking with Win 8 gives be the ability to use all the StarDock apps even IP. I know this thread isn't about which OS is better but it is obvious that Microsoft doesn't like people messing with their program. As the saying goes "Just because it's free doesn't make it better".
How true... IF Win 10 were actually free. It comes with too many caveats to be free,
Wait...the other shoe has yet to fall [TANSTAAFL]...it ain't gonna stay free...for anyone [viz. Adobe].
There ain't no such thing as a free lunch
??
"TANSTAAFL." It stands for "There Ain't No Such Thing As a Free Lunch."
That's what I said.
I guess he did.
Yes you did Al. Sorry when I was posting it wasn't showing.
One thing for sure is Ross should know now.
It's OK, I didn't know what it was until I looked it up. The little girl inside me doesn't know what all the acronyms are.
That sounded better in my head.
